Spotlight on Caryl Sickul, Yoga instructor

This week I would like to put the spotlight on Caryl Sickul, my personal Yoga Instructor. I have been practicing at her beautiful studio in Tiverton for about three years, which was built by her architect husband, Doug Sickul. The room that she teaches in has a bank of windows on two sides looking out at fields and one side is a mirrored wall. This is a stunning setting to practice yoga.  “The Rivers of Light studio” aptly named has immaculately clean bamboo floors with soft meditation music playing in the background. Then you have Caryl, who is the most qualified and accomadating instructor to personally ease you into the practice of yoga at what ever level you find yourself. For the individual that really wants to seriously improve their quality of living this is the place for you. With the profession that I am in, I spend close to 80% of my time as a desk jockey editing pictures and designing albums. The amount of lower back issues and neck and shoulder issues caused me to visit my Doctor,  then a Chiropractor, then a physical therapist. Finally, I found Caryl. What a difference! She is the antidote for all that ailes the physical part of being forty+ something.

 Check out her website www.csickul.com

Here are some pictures I took for her marketing . The objective was to illustrate what makes Caryl Sickul different from any other yoga class. The answer, which is hopefully illustrated in these images is experience, compassion and environment. All of these aspects are what keep me going back.  In short she takes me to a Happy Place!

Engagement pictures

Engagement pictures

Last week , I talked about Sasha and Eric’s wedding and Engagement pictures. Here is a sample of how the engagement pictures can be used. The Couple has the matted images displayed at the reception to be signed by all the guests.

This week I want to put the Spotlight on a very high quality Art Supply and Framing store, Riverside Art in  Somerset, MA  www.riversideart.com,who has provided me with very elegant solutions to framing photography as well as producing incredible Canvases.Whenever you are framing art, it is an expensive endevor. Riverside Art makes sure it is reasonably priced, but also a timeless solution with attention to detail. Your art desrves the kind of presentation they create.  Many samples of their products are in their store or if you are ever in Middletown, RI, there is a great display of my photography all matted and framed by Riverside Art in the halls of Sadonna Fitness in Middletown, RI http://sedona4women.com/Members/middletown/middletown-rhode-island.

Dew on Wheat Grass

I am very excited about “the spotlight”

The new section of my site. It allows me to post many related and unrelated projects I am working on.

To begin I would like to acknowledge Jacquie for all her help and patience. She is an excellent web designer. www.jswebsolutions.com I have gotton so many compliments on my site and it is due to her efforts that it has worked so well.

I also would like to thank the Peckhams Greenhouse of Little Compton, RI for allowing me to come in out of the cold to play with my 1.8-50mm. lens. This lense is wide open often refered to as fast glass. Makes me want to take my shoes off.
